Youtube comments seem to evoke philosophical thinking in me.

I don’t know why people are homophobic. I think mainly it’s either insecurity,* or how they were raised. I think denial is fueling a lot of the anger toward people of different sexualities. “It’s not if you’re gay, it’s how gay are you?”. Just the same goes for homosexuals. There is no homosexual in this world that is entirely homosexual, just as there is no heterosexual in this world that is entirely heterosexual. I think a lot of people don’t see that, so when they’re faced with the fact that they might have been attracted to something of the homoerotic nature, it flat out scares them. And of course, if you had a bad experience with a minority, you’d probably have a prejudice against that minority.

Sexuality is a very sensitive and powerful type of thing. Mainly what kills me are the arguments against sexuality. I suppose I’ll break the usual ones down and respond to them in my own way. And as far as being homophobic goes- I don’t care. Really. You can hate homosexuals all you want, and I couldn’t give a damn. As long as you don’t attack me (Mentally as much as physically.) for my beliefs or lifestyle, it doesn’t bother me. I’m not going to force you to be homosexual if you’re comfortable in your own sexuality, and I respect your heterosexuality. So don’t attack me for being gay.

I hear a lot of people claim that it’s unnatural. Who are you to decide what’s natural anyway?

Or so describes Encarta on what is ‘natural’. See all those definitions? Interpretation makes all of the difference. If you want to go on the means that homosexual relations produce no offspring, you’re also implying that celibate, or impotent heterosexual relationships are unnatural. Homosexuality occurs in nature as well*, so it’s not as if we’re deviating from what happens in real ‘nature’. When people coin ‘unnatural’ in their attacks, I believe ‘natural’ becomes ‘what is accepted in my society and homestead. And don’t tell me ‘ONOS GOES WITH VAGOO’. That means that kissing and oral sex is wrong. A mouth was made for eating. What about groping and fondling? As hands aren’t sexual organs, therefore they shouldn’t be used in any sexual situations.

I’m aware that homosexuality is frowned upon in the bible. I’m not going to go into it, though I am an educated Christian, but don’t use the word of God if you a) don’t also call on all other things in the bible, or b) are not loyal followers of God and our savior Jesus Christ. If you’ve never opened a bible, and have used this excuse, please go slam your head repeatedly in a revolving door, and go to a Sunday sermon. Also be aware that if you’re a good Christian, you should have no hateful or spiteful thoughts toward homosexuals. You hate the sin, not the sinner.

But I have to call out homosexuals as well. I can’t stand people saying things like “OH HELL YUH IMMA FAGGOT.”. I think that this is just a way to pillow the insult, as if to make it into a good thing so it’s no longer hurtful. It’s a cruel word. It’s a stereotypical, minority dividing word. Don’t use it. Now I was also going to call out flamboyantly effeminate homosexuals, but I sat down and thought about it. I honestly have to say that to call out these people because of their -sexuality- is wrong. Their personality faults however? Not so much. And society’s stereotype effeminate twink idea of a gay person pisses me off too.

It’s like thinking all women are like Britney Spears.
